Marriage Licenses 

A Vermont marriage license costs $80 plus an additional $10.00 for a certified copy for a total of $90.00.
When getting Married in the Town of Jay you must apply for the license during regular Town Clerk hours. (Normally, 7 am to 4 pm Mon, Tues, Thurs & Wed 7 am - noon.)
The license is valid for 60 days.
License must be returned to Town Clerk's office within 10 days of date of marriage.

• One time 8% penalty imposed on money received after 5 pm on October 13, 2023
• 1% Interest additional penalty imposed per months of October, November, December
• Starting January 1.5% penalty imposed per month
• Property Taxes may be paid online via Electronic check for a fee of $1.50 or by credit card, incurring  a  2.65% fee.
