ALS Ski & Ride-A-Thon Jay Peak Resort Saturday, Feb 8, 2025 Ski, ride, or snowshoe 8:30 AM-4:00 PM Presentation in the Haynes Room at 12:30 PM

Join us for the ALS Ski & Ride-A-Thon at Jay Peak Resort on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, to raise awareness for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis/Lou Gehrig’s disease) and to support the ALS Association. Proceeds go towards discovering treatments and a cure for ALS, as well as serving, advocating for, and empowering people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
This annual event was started in 2017 in honor of, and is now in memory of, Jim Glabicky, a Jay resident who lost his battle with ALS and loved winter sports.
HOW IT WORKS • Register for the event by clicking “JOIN OUR TEAM." • Pick up your discounted lift ticket on event day. • Ski (alpine/nordic), snowboard, and snowshoe! • NOTE: ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLETE A JAY PEAK WAIVER: COMPLETE WAIVER HERE
REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE: • Discounted lift ticket ($50 ticket-must register by Feb 1 OR $75 ticket-must register by Feb 8)* • Unlimited ski/ride/snowshoe • Prize Opportunities (e.g. 2-night ski/stay package for 2, 2 Lift Tickets, 2 Waterpark Passes)
EVENT DAY SCHEDULE: • 8:00am: Day of Registration & Check-in; Haynes - Hotel Jay Conference Center, Tramside • 8:30am-4:00pm: Ski/Ride/Snowshoe • 12:30pm: ALS Presentation/Awards; Haynes - Hotel Jay Conference Center, Tramside

Please contact Marina at the ALS Association with any questions about registration, marina.fleites@als.org *You must be registered to receive the discounted lift ticket. The morning of February 8th, you will be able to purchase your lift ticket and/or register in the Haynes Room at the Hotel Jay Conference Center in the Tramside Base. Donations do not count towards the purchase of your ticket.
The Jay Area Food Shelf, serving Jay, Lowell, North Troy, Troy & Westfield and under the Jay Focus Group 501(c)3, has moved from the downstairs of the Jay Municipal Building to 1375 Cross Rd, Jay (in same bldg as Jay/Troy Recycle).
The hours are the same, open Thursdays, 9am to Noon.
A much larger space that will enable the Food Shelf to have not only a larger variety of food items, but a larger area for clothing and other essentials for those in need.
Kim Lucier is the food shelf volunteer and manager. If you are in need please do stop in to see Kim on a Thursday morning for info and to sign up. More info is available online at www.jayfocusgp.com as well as purchase of the $10 Fall Raffle Tickets.
