School Board

The town of Jay is a member of two different school districts. The first is the Jay School District which is empowered to provide for the education of the children within the town of Jay. The other is the Jay/Westfield School District which is in charge of the education of the children that attend the Jay/Westfield Joint Elementary School.  The Jay School District has three elected members that serve three-year terms. In addition, as a sending town to the North Country Union Senior and Junior High Schools, it has the power to appoint representatives to both boards. The Jay/Westfield School District is governed by a board that comprises the three elected members of the Jay School District and the three elected members from the Westfield School District.

It takes a town to educate our children. Become involved. Volunteer, be a mentor, help with fundraising, attend a meeting. The Jay-Westfield Joint Elementary School Board Meeting normally occurs on the 2nd Tuesday of the month and is open to the public, call 802.988.4022 for date & time verification
